How old do I need to be to rent?
You must be aged 21 or over to rent in Greece and have held a full clean driving licence for at least one year. A Young Driver Surcharge is applicable for drivers under the age of 25. This is currently charged at €10 per day plus vat up to a maximum of 10 days.

Can another person drive the rental vehicle?
The rental vehicle is normally only insured for the person who makes the rental. If others plan to drive the car, they must be added to the Rental Agreement when the car is collected. There will be a charge for each additional driver of €2,5 per day plus VAT up to maximum of 10 days.

What documents will I need to provide?
You will need to bring your driving licence with you when you come to collect your car. You must have held a driving licence for at least one year. You'll also need a credit card - we need to have it as quarantee for your rental even if you choose to pay cash at the end. Your ID and passport will be also required.

Are there mileage limits?
The majority of rental rates offer free unlimited mileage. However, some rates will give you a limit of free mileage and charge extra for additional mileage made over that limit. You will be advised at the time of booking whether unlimited mileage is included, or you can ask at the Avis when you collect your car.

Will there be petrol in the car?
All rental cars are provided with a full tank of fuel and should be refuelled prior to return to Avis, otherwise refuelling charges will apply. Alternatively, you may purchase your fuel in advance - just ask at the Avis desk about the Pre-Paid Fuel Option
